Pirate Dance and Combat

This term in P.E we will be looking at following simple dance moves to create our own themed dance. We have really enjoyed pretending to be pirates and can’t wait for our next few lessons on combat to finish off the term.

Koo Koo Kanga Roo - Dinosaur Stomp (Dance-A-Long)

We have enjoyed bringing some dance moves into our classroom this term. Take a look at one of our favourite Go Noodle tracks that we dance along to after we have worked our socks off all day!

Spring 1 - Gymnastics

During the spring term, Year 2 will be busy working on their flexibility. We will be looking at how gymnasts move and even coming up with our own routines, which will show case all the gymnastic skills that we have looked at throughout our P.E lessons.  We will be concentrating on balancing, rolling and turning.

Autumn 2 – Fundamental Skills 2

This term, we are continuing to work on the fundamental skills needed in P.E. We have been practising, skipping, balancing, throwing, and catching through a variety of different games and activities.

Autumn 1 – Fundamental Skills 1

We started the year by learning the fundamental skills that will help us be successful in our P.E lessons. We looked at rolling, moving, running, jumping, dribbling and dodging.

A Cosmic Kids Yoga Adventure

Whenever possible we love to join in with a Cosmic Kids Yoga Adventure. This has been a favourite of ours as it links to our class story, 'The Fish who Could Wish'.
