Maths
During the Autumn term we will be covering:
Place Value- we will explore roman numberals, value of units up to 10,000, mental addition and subtraction within each place value column and partitioning.
Addition and Subtraction- we will look at the formal written methods, bar models and part whole models just to name a few.
Multiplication and Division- again we will look at formal written methods and different representations to support calculations.
Within our maths lessons we will be looking at problem solving and answering those tricky questions on 'how' do you know that is the right or wrong answer.
