Spring
This term, our focus in Year 6 is 'Making My Voice Heard'.
We will look at the following areas:
- Expressing drawing techniques.
- Symbolism in Art.
- Understand the drawing technique called chiaroscuro.
- Create a powerful image.
Autumn
This half term our unit is called 'Painting and mixed media'. We will be developing our skills of analysis and taking a deeper look into pieces of art work like 'The Dancer' by Paula Rego, 'My Parents' My David Hockney and 'Gassed' by John Singer Sargent.
Along the way we will be creating our own abstract pieces inspired by Fiona Rae
