During our work on Cinderella, we looked at character descriptions.
We built simple sentences using our Colourful Semantics to describe Cinderella and The Ugly Sisters.
These are the sentence blocks we used:
Cinderella has a long, blue dress.
She is a loving.
We know that we don't need to use her name lots of times but can use the pronoun she instead.
We also know that the purple words are called adjectives.
We learned that when there is more than one noun (what) it is called plural. Usually when you have a plural word it ends in 's' or 'es'. These words can be tricky to spell because the 'es' sounds like 'iz'.
Here are some examples:
We also learned that the word 'and' can be used to join two ideas together. It's fancy name is a Conjunction.
