Forest School

Forest School at Christ Church C of E Primary School is an opportunity for children to flourish and engage in the outdoor environment.
We are very lucky to have our own on-site forest at our school. This allows the children to access Forest School in all seasons, providing new experiences and opportunities.

The children will receive 6 weeks of Forest School each year.

During their time in the forest, they will have the chance to handle tools, manage risk and express their creativity. Whether they are climbing trees, balancing on the slack line, building shelters or lighting a fire. The Forest School ethos promotes resilience, problem-solving and helps children to have hands-on learning, supporting their emotions, social and cognitive development. Each year the children will build upon their existing Forest School skills following our scheme of learning to allow them to reach their full potential.

You will receive a letter when it is your child's Forest School sessions. Please ensure that you send them with appropriate clothing and footwear to allow them to engage fully.

If you ever have any issues, do not hesitate to speak to a member of staff.
