Puppets

This term in D.T, we will be designing and making our very own puppets.

We will begin our topic by looking at a range of different puppets including; finger puppets; stick puppets and hand puppets. We will then read our brief before creating our own design.  Throughout, we will practise a range of sewing techniques to help us make a secure hand puppet.

Tell a Story - Drawing 

Using storybook illustration as a stimulus, children will develop their mark-making to explore a wider range of tools and experiment with creating texture to add detail to drawings.

We will look at the popular illustrator and author Quentin Blake.
